A Time to Pray:
There are two times we come together for prayer as pastors in the BBA. Prayer is the conduit between heaven and earth. We cannot afford to have this vital source of power clogged up. Coming together in the name of God, keeps it flowing freely. We need each other.

2020 Appalachian Christmas Backpack Outreach:
Deadline to bring in packbacks (Thursday, November 5th)
*** Bibles ($7) and Backpacks ($3) are available at the Associaion Office for pickup; along with the Christmas Story
1) COLLECT ITEMS AND PREPARE BACKPACKS
A) Small items of NEW items of warm clothing such as winter hats, gloves, socks, scarves, etc.
B) Small pop-top canned food such as ravioli, tuna, beef stew, vegetables, fruit (3-4 cans)
C) At least 1-2 NEW, age appropriate non-breakable toy (no toy weapons, please!) This can include small cars, balls, dolls, small stuffed animals, yo-yos, jump rope, sidewalk chalk, card games, Legos, etc. For oldest age group (15-17) substitute an appropriate item instead of a toy, such as, a flashlight, small thermos, light blanket, books, hunting and fishing magazines for the boys - jewelry, books, skin care products, hair accessories, etc. for girls.
D) Hygiene items including full sized containers of toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and deoderant, as well as toothbrush, soap, washcloth, brush or comb.
(Please fit these items into a one gallon Ziploc bag so they do not leak out into the rest of the backpack).
E) Fresh, wrapped candy (no chocolate please, as it may melt; and no peanut products)
F) A children’s Bible or youth Bible (available at the Bladen Association)
G) A copy of "The Christmas Story" (available at the Bladen Association)
Age Grouping and Labeling. Each backpack will have 2 ribbons: the 1st ribbon for Gender and the 2nd for Age
1st Ribbon: Gender:
Boys: Blue ribbon
Girls: Pink ribbon
2nd Ribbon: Age:
4-7: Yellow ribbon
8-10: Green ribbon
11-14: Red ribbon
15-17: White ribbon

On that Tuesday, we will break into different groups of interest and plan, plan, plan. So, I ask you to be a part and pray, pray, pray.
